    Default 360 Coolant level incorrect

To give a bit of background, my 360 was serviced last June at a main dealer who noted the coolant level required a 1 litre top up. No signs of any leak were reported, just that the level was low.

In order to monitor the level, I took the below measurement last August, with the bottom of the ruler just touching the top of the coolant.

Fast forward to today, I took another measurement but amazingly the level has increased slightly. It certainly hasnít lost any.

How can this be? Both measurements were taken when he car is stone cold. Could it be human error in the measurement? Or difference in temperature?

To note, the coolant hasnít been topped up since the service as Iíve done minimal mileage. What distance should the top of the bottle neck be from the coolant level?

Temperature difference....thereís 17 litres (?) in there so a few mm difference is irrelevant.
Mine measured the same way is 55mm from the top of the threads and if I add more it blows it out of the cap ( I replaced the cap last year).
Like the engine oil it neednít be that precise.
I keep an eye on it due to the well reported heat exchanger failures.
